Licensing, pricing, availability & guarantees

Absolutely. Service All-Stars is a fully licensed HVAC contractor and plumbing company, bonded and insured to protect you, your home, and our team. We serve all of Los Angeles County and Orange County, from Anaheim to Long Beach and everywhere in between.

Will I get a price before work starts?

Always. Before we touch anything, you receive a clear written estimate. We back this with our No Change Order Guarantee; unless specifically noted in writing, the price we quote is the price you pay. No hidden fees, no last-minute add-ons.

What areas do you serve?

We provide HVAC service in LA and Orange County, including Long Beach, Anaheim, Huntington Beach, Pasadena, Torrance, Marina Del Rey, Gardena, Seal Beach, Fullerton, Newport Beach, and dozens more surrounding communities. If you're not sure whether we cover your neighborhood, just call — we likely do.

Do you offer 24/7 emergency HVAC repair?

Yes. 24/7 emergency HVAC repair is a core part of what we do. AC failures in SoCal summers and heating emergencies on cold winter nights don't wait for business hours, and neither do we.

My AC is blowing warm air. What's going on?

Warm air from your AC is usually caused by one of three culprits: low refrigerant (often from a leak), a dirty condenser coil, or a failed compressor. Start by checking that your thermostat is set to Cool, and the air filter isn't clogged.

If the issue persists, don't wait; running the system in this state can cause compressor damage. Our All-Stars can diagnose and repair the root cause, usually the same day.

All-Star Tip: Replace your filter monthly in LA summers to prevent restricted airflow.

How often should I service my air conditioner in Southern California?

We recommend a professional AC tune-up once a year, ideally in early spring before peak summer heat. In high-use areas like Los Angeles and Orange County, where systems run nearly year-round, annual maintenance prevents breakdowns, keeps energy bills in check, and extends equipment life.

Members of our All-Star Service Plan receive annual tune-ups as part of their membership, keeping their systems in peak condition.

How long does a central AC system typically last?

A well-maintained central AC system lasts 15–20 years. In Southern California's demanding climate, systems that skip annual maintenance often fail around the 10–12-year mark. If your unit is over 12 years old and requiring frequent repairs, a replacement is often the smarter investment.

Do you offer financing for a new AC installation?

Yes. Service All-Stars offers flexible financing options for customers in Los Angeles and Orange County with approved credit. You deserve a comfortable, efficient system regardless of budget. Ask your technician about current financing plans during your free in-home assessment.

My heater won't turn on. What should I check first?

Before calling, run through this quick checklist:

  1. Make sure the thermostat is set to Heat, and the temperature is set above room temperature.
  2. Check your circuit breaker; a tripped breaker is a common culprit. (3) Inspect the air filter; a severely clogged filter shuts down a furnace.

If all of these check out and the heater still won't start, call us. It may be an ignitor, flame sensor, or gas valve issue that needs a pro.

Is it safe to run my furnace if I smell something burning?

A mild dusty smell at the start of the season is normal. It's just dust burning off the heat exchanger. However, if you detect a persistent burning plastic smell, a rotten egg odor (possible gas leak), or smoke, shut the system off immediately, ventilate the area, and call us.

How much does furnace repair cost in LA?

Furnace repair costs in the Los Angeles area vary depending on the part and complexity (minor fixes like ignitors or capacitors tend to cost less, while heat exchanger replacements or control board failures tend to cost more).

What we can promise is a clear, written estimate before any work begins, backed by our No Change Order Guarantee. The price we quote is the price you pay. All-Star Service Plan members receive priority pricing on all repairs.

Plumbing FAQs

Emergency repairs, repiping, drains & more

I have a burst pipe. What do I do right now?

Step 1: Immediately shut off your main water supply to your home. The shutoff valve is typically near the meter or at the side of the house.

Step 2: Turn off your water heater to prevent damage.

Step 3: Call us. Our All-Star plumbers respond to emergencies in the LA and Orange County area. Don't attempt DIY repairs on burst pipes; improper fixes can cause mold or structural damage down the line.

What are the signs that I need repiping?

Key warning signs include: discolored or rusty water, low water pressure throughout the home, frequent leaks in multiple areas, and pipes that are 50+ years old (especially original galvanized steel). We specialize in copper repiping, which delivers lasting reliability. If you're in an older LA or OC home, a free assessment can tell you exactly where you stand.

Do you handle commercial plumbing jobs?

Yes. Our All-Star plumbers handle both residential and light commercial plumbing projects throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, from emergency repairs to full system upgrades. Every job, large or small, comes with our "every job is a victory" commitment.

How quickly can a plumber get to my home?

For emergencies, we dispatch a technician as fast as possible (in most cases within a few hours). We offer 24/7 emergency service throughout Los Angeles and Orange County. All-Star Service Plan members receive priority scheduling, meaning they jump to the front of the line during peak periods.
